Armor-all Promotion.... The Story so far.



Limo Trade were approched by Armor all, a leading car care products specialist to supply 2 stretched limousines to be used for a major advertising campagn in Europe this coming summer. We sourced 2 identical silver Town Cars and the deal was done!! The 2 cars were then delivered to a company in Southamption and were wrapped in vinyl depicting a 1960s pop art theme. Once the first vehicle was ready, Limo Trade were asked by Armor-All collect the car and take it to Germany for a conference to display the car to sales executives and buyers of cleaning products and then bring it back to the UK. The limousine caused a real buzz as we passed through France, Belgium and eventually, Germany, with hundreds of mobile camera phones being held up as cars passed. We eventually arrived at the venue in Hockenheim, The German Grand Prix Track and were faced with our first big problem. The small exhibition hall at the track was raised above the ground with 3 steps leading up to the only enterance and no ramps for the car to drive up. It seemed that the only way to get the car inside would be to hire a car transporter, drive the car on to it and then drive the limo into the hall. The second problem we faced was the transporter had a 20 foot back on it and the car was 28 foot long. This was overcome by using rubber blocks under the chassis and letting the back wheels hang over the back of the truck. Once the limo was inside the hall, the biggest problem of all emerged, the floor of the hall started to give way under the weight of the car so we had to move the limo by placing boards under the wheels. The hall is the same one that is used for the pre-grand prix interviews so if any F1 drivers dissapear down a hole this year on TV, We appologise in advance!!
